The Poetry of Persian Rings
The history of humanity can be shown through the history of jewellery. Not only the discovery of different materials, but also the evolution of beauty aesthetics are represented there. Each piece is a work of art, it is hours of creative patience, it is a silent storyteller. To this today jewellery is passed from generation to generation, witnessing people’s lives, keeping their secrets, and telling their love confessions. Could you imagine how much they could have told us if they were able to speak?
Each country has different jewellery history, similar in some ways, but always with a unique flavour of its own personality. Here is a mini-story of Persian rings from antique designs to a more modern style. I have always been fascinated by Middle-Eastern jewellery. Their intricate patterns and colourful shades charmed my mind long before I got into Middle-Eastern dancing. The combination of elegancy and mystery embodied in Persian rings always sets the mood to the outfit. You can’t but feel special wearing them.
